I never wrote about the meetup before, even though I always wanted to write. So this time, the internal resistance got overcome, hence this post. As always, I had good time at meetups, and something I look forward to every year.

This meetup started with a glitch, if it can go wrong, it will go wrong. I arrived late at the meetup, due to my own fault (over-optimism) ofcourse. I had planned to save some time in the evenings before bed, so as to practise some Japanese, but as fate would have it (or life is what happens while you are busy making other plans), I had such a busy fun time at this meetup, that every night I slept, tired and satisfied with the day, no regret1.

Chris got me hooked2 on to cards. I always wanted to learn to play cards, and thanks to his encouragment (and support :D), I really enjoyed playing cards. And today, Iliya taught me the game of Bridge. I say these games are pretty good for intellectual stimulation.

Thanks to both of these folks, and everyone else, who played these cards games with me at this meetup. There is still another day left of this meetup, and I’m looking forward to it. yawns ใŠใ‚„ใ™ใฟใชใ•ใ„

  1. well, except for yesterday, when I forgot to set alarm, and woke up late, and missed out on the fun time. ↩︎

  2. hooked probably has negative connotation to it, but I couldn’t find a better word to imply the positive effect it had on me. ↩︎
